Children's University

After being observed by a Children’s University inspector back in 2013, Southport Piano Academy was offically made a Validated Learning Destination for Children’s University.

Children’s University’s is a national programme that provides 5-14 year olds with exciting and innovative learning activities outside normal school hours. Children are provided with a "Passport to Learning" for them to collect stamps as proof of their learning. Children’s University passports are available at participating schools.

(Quote taken from the Children’s University Website, www.childrensuniversity.co.uk)

“Learning Destinations are places that children can “travel” with their passport and receive a stamp.  Learning Destinations have passed the Children’s University’s own quality assurance process, (planning for learning) they provide high quality learning activities with a WOW factor.”

Learning Destinations display the CU’s Learning Destination logo prominently inside their environment, and include the logo on all literature, and are displayed on the National Children’s University website.  The scheme is a fantastic way to celebrate children's voluntary participation and children receiving sufficient credits at the end of each key stage are invited to a graduation day. This is held annually, usually at Edge Hill University, Ormskirk, in the Summer Term.

We look forward to stamping your child’s passport at their next piano lesson!!!

From all the teaching team at Southport Piano Academy.
