Our beginner's theory course is a 50 page music teaching resource. This was created to enable children to have a good basic knowledge of music theory. It is written in a fun, educational way, including activities such as a musical terms crossword, colouring, word search and a quiz.

The course is available to all students of Southport Piano / Music Academy and systematically worked through during lessons and for homework to complement practical learning.

All the teachers teach this theory course with the beginner level pupils. The course is copyrighted and is available to buy from our shop in a book form for £15.00. 

We also run theory workshops , where we cover basic to intermediate music theory knowledge. (Booking 1-1 theory classes for advanced level students is recommended.)
